Megan + Chris // Line Creek Nature Area Engagement Session – Peachtree City, GA

Oh, friends – I’m SO excited to share Megan and Chris’s engagement session with you! As soon as Megan suggested Line Creek Nature Trail as a location for their engagement photos, I knew this would be a fun session. She told me, “We don’t mind walking if you don’t,” and all I could think was…”Say less!” I couldn’t wait to adventure through these trails with these two to see what kinds of beauty and fun we could capture in these woods. And fun we had, indeed! Even though I grew up in this area, this was my first time at Line Creek, and on my first visit a few weeks ago, I was dazzled by the glowing sun shining through the trees and the sheer amount of trails just waiting to be explored. The variety of spaces packed in this hidden gem of nature in the middle of Peachtree City feels like you’re hiking through the mountains, and if you’re looking for a secluded woodsy spot close to home for a photo session, Line Creek can’t be beat. Megan and Chris’s engagement session was one of the first days of daylight savings, and we took full advantage of our extra hours of dreamy daylight. The trees were just starting to show their beautiful spring blooms, the water was roaring down the creek, and the slight breeze in the cool air reminded us that winter wasn’t quite over! The only hard part of this session was narrowing down the amount of photos to share here…I just had too many faves so I had to sneak a few extras in!

I couldn’t have asked for more from Megan and Chris. As soon as I met them in the parking lot, they felt like instant friends and I truly enjoyed getting to know them as we hiked down the trails in search of the best photo spots. They were up for anything I asked of them, were happy to keep shooting when I got carried away taking WAY more photos than planned because we were just having too much fun, and Megan completely rocked walking these trails and climbing over rocks in heels – seriously impressive!

Megan and Chris are such a fun couple to get to know. They’ve been together since high school – they met in math class! – and spending even just a couple hours with them I could see how much joy and comfort they find in each other. One of my favorite things about being around Megan and Chris was just how genuine and fun they are. Their happiness was contagious, and it’s clear that they’re people who truly know how to enjoy the big and little moments they get to spend together. After spending some time long distance throughout college and even now as Megan pursues her Master’s Degree, they don’t miss a moment of fun when they get to be together. When they’re not enjoying a hashbrown bowl and coffee together, you can find them at Dave and Busters adding to their impressive collection of tickets – they have over 12,000 so far and I can’t wait to see what they end up spending them on!

Looking forward to their fall wedding later this year, Megan told me that she wants to just be happy about the process of planning their wedding. After planning my own wedding years ago, I know how stressful that process can be, but from what I can tell after spending an evening with these two, they have succeeded in finding the joy in this process! They finally get to put an end to the “long-distance” part of their relationship soon as they find a place to live together, and I know that will be just the beginning of the fun they will find in this brand new chapter of their relationship.

Megan and Chris – thank you for trusting me with your engagement photos. It was an honor getting to spend an evening with you and capturing your relationship during such a special time in your lives. Your November wedding is going to be beautiful, and I’m confident it will be the most fun day! I hope you enjoy every minute of your engagement, and I can’t wait to follow your journey in your married life!
