Eva + Brent // Breckenridge, CO

Have you ever spent time with someone and immediately thought, “These are my people!”? That’s how I feel about Eva and Brent, and the more I get to know them the more I believe that they are, indeed, my people. I met Brent a while ago when he became friends with my husband, but I just recently started spending more time with him and Eva as a couple when we moved back to Georgia last summer. From the first afternoon we spent together on sunny boat day, I knew this was a couple I wanted to get to know more as they stayed up with us after everyone had left and made s’mores around the fire. They’re both such fun and adventurous people, and together their energy is just infectious. 

We recently got to spend a whole week with Eva and Brent skiing in the beautiful mountains of Breckenridge, CO and let me tell you – it’s just something special when you get to have an adventure with friends! Brent spent time in Colorado as a travel nurse and loves this special place as much as I do, so when the idea for a ski trip came up I was all over it! We spent our week skiing, shopping, eating, and playing games. But one of my favorite parts was spending an evening getting these two in front of my camera and capturing their beautiful relationship. 

On the last night we were all in town, we all headed up to Boreas Pass and watched as the golden sun set over the Breckenridge peaks we had just spent days skiing down. The weather was perfect with just a slight chill in the air, and a fresh dusting of snow clung to the evergreen trees as we hiked up the path to the overlook. If I had to choose one place to watch the sunset forever, this may be it – there’s just something special about the Rocky Mountains and the way the sun tucks behind the peaks to say goodnight after a day of adventure, and this may be the best view of them all. Nothing compared to the light that radiated from Eva and Brent’s smiles and laughter as we took photos though; their energy really is a light to anyone around them and I could have taken photos of them all day!

After spending a week with this special couple, it’s clear that were made for each other! Both nurses, they have a passion for helping people and making the world a better place. They love to travel, play board games, and make amazing music together as talented musicians! They’re both such fun people individually, and together they make one heck of a team – you just can’t help but be happy and feel good around them. They’re a fearless couple who is always up for anything, and their adventurous spirit is one I can definitely get behind.

Eva and Brent – you have such a special relationship and that’s clear to anyone who spends time with you. The way you look at each other, talk about each other, and truly enjoy doing anything together is something I admire. I’m grateful for the opportunity to get to know you better, and I can’t wait to see your relationship grow! And don’t worry, I plan on getting you in front of my camera a LOT more! 🙂
